A heat-wave track, coming all the way from the southern hemisphere, Alex Preston’s remix of Blind Sky by DMH, Faure and Erin Marshall, will be warming up the dance floors up north and around Europe after its release last Monday.
A comparison between the two songs makes evident that the original song, by the Aussie trio mentioned above, has been transformed by Preston from dance to progressive house. An enchanting “hands in the air” piano breakdown is combined with Erin Marshall’s beautifully haunting vocals that give a nod to euphoric trance breakdowns from the late 90s which then lead into a crescendo towards powerful electro dance beats and bass.
A solid base of the new song is ensured by the versatile team behind the original: an award winning DJ and producer DHM, with a rich repertoire varying from hip hop and RnB to dance and house, in yet another collaboration with DJ and producer, Faure are the creators of the track. To top it all up, the Sydney indie, pop and dance artist Erin Marshall gives the final finish with her memorable vocals to create a catchy Friday night dance tune.
Both DJ and a producer, Alex Preston is also the label owner of the house music project named Preston Recordings that has released the remix of Blind Sky on September 22nd. The fresh company has already released several tracks, the first of which, named ‘The Calling’ got Preston’s name popular around Europe and the UK, getting him charted on KissFM’s Top Ten playlist and featured in MixMag. After a couple of years and several more releases, the Aussie has gained the appreciation of some of the best-known titles from today’s music scene, such as: Paul Oakenfold, Chuckie, Fatboy Slim and many more; giving him an opportunity to play as support names like Calving Harris and Timmy Trumpet in gigs all around Oz.
Creating some quality house music, Preston has reached a more progressive sound with his big room euphoric EDM peak time player: a perfect representation of the sound of now that is being played in DJ sets across the bigger commercial dance floors not only of the UK but in clubs around the globe.
