Jad & The Lady Boy – ‘Party Strings’

If 2014 has been anything to go by, there have been bundles of artists pressing themselves out into the internet sphere and demanding your attention – resulting in a great year so far for music. BUT sometimes it can be a headache trawling through the ever increasing releases, remixes, edits, re-tweaks and who knows what else.

Here at The Noise Gate we’re here to help weed out the good from the bad every week for you, so meet Australian music extraordinaire Jad & The Lady Boy. One of but a few artists consistently putting out great new music with an interesting pseudonym to boot; he’s already got an impressive body of work, with a couple of EP’s released on labels like Retrofit and Exploited, two projects -the band Mitzi and the duo Twiggy Lashes which stand out in their own way, and some really awesome tracks that he’s given away for free.

His most recent of efforts, entitled Party Strings, is a melodic and uplifting house track that sets a mood even the pelting Mancunian rain of late couldn’t dampen. Simple yet effective, with long-lost vocal samples and of course… strings that will help your feet shuffle from side to side, be it on the dance-floor or walking the street.
