Chomps – ‘Mindset’

Canadian producer Chomps has released a new track entitled ‘Mindset’ via his SoundCloud page.

As a member of Unlikely Futures – an Ottowa-based production trio consisting of himself, Max Zims and J Remedy – he has already caught attention across the web as well as charting in Hype Machine’s Popular Chart several times over.

His new beat ‘Mindset opens dreamily with a lo-fi sounding harp melody and twittering birds in the background, before unsuspectingly launching itself into a laid-back trap beat decorated with dreamy synth work and mesmeric, looped female vocals. Incorporating a definite floaty and spiritual vibe reminiscent of the weird and wonderful work of American sisters Cocorosie; Chomp delivers a slightly purple and trippy beat that’s got us enchanted with its balanced of twinkly melodics and rolling snare drums.
